An android problem that even google techstop couldn’t fix

I couldn’t setup my google mail account with my android, with this msg:

“Can’t establish a reliable data connection to the server.  This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned  for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care.”

I talked to the Techstop but they couldn’t fix it either. I googled and found the solution here and here. Basically, you have to add your account through youtube (or another app), rather than adding it though mail.
